Hello! My name is Meaghan and I am a Baltimore Ravens cheerleader.
Collin was in Afghanistan with my mom's boyfriend, David Armes. I know
he recently came to visit Collin. My mom made this poster and i took it
to the cheerleading try-outs that we had this past week-end and had the
girls take a pic with it. I thought once Collin could see this, it
would boost his spirits. They all know his story and we pray for him
and your family everyday. I know David will be making another trip
down there to see Collin again in a few months, he will bring the
poster with him so you guys can have it. Good luck, Stay strong, and
know our prayers are with you!

With
all do respect my purple heart I would never reject. Pin it on me the
day I can see, upon my chest with all the rest. My sacrifices have been
great but let me share with you my fate. I am strong willed, and very
determined, and I WILL FIGHT WITH ALL MY MIGHT. When I wiggle a foot or
toe I am letting you know. Even with all these bandages upon my face
all the voices I can place. I have to much to live for as you can see
in such a supportive and loving family. Hold your heads up high and
don't cry, for I am United States Army SSG Collin J.Bowen and it wont
be long before I am again strong!

I
am back at Camp Clark and arriving here felt like getting punched in
the gut. Things are different and I am having a hard time getting back
on track. One positive note after that incident we all have received
nomex fire retardant suits that we wear now. Everyone here is praying
for Collin and we all check on his status daily. He was just a great
guy and made a huge impact on lots of people.

These
are pictures we took sharing a meal with the Afghan NCOs Lwara. Collin
and SFC Locklear are great NCOs and showed me the ropes when I came
down as part of the replacement team. My success and safe return from
there was in a big part thanks to them. I pray for your recovery.
